If you are having technical trouble with the FLBA website please read carefully through the Troubleshooting Guide below.
The FLBA is a small organization with limited administrative backup, and whilst we are always happy to hear from members we would be grateful if you could help us avoid unnecessary extra work by checking some basics before contacting us about tech issues. Most of the technical queries we have had concerning this website have been easily resolved by working through the things contained within it. Occasionally you may come across a problem that isn’t explained or fixed by working through this guide – if that happens please feel free to drop us an email and we will try and help.
Troubleshooting Guide
The guide covers:
Why do I need to log in?
How do I log in?
What are my log in details?
I need help with the videos!
Why do I need to log in?
If you are not logged in you will not be able to see all the members only sections of the site.
When members log in to the site the members only sections of the site will appear in the main navigation bar as follows:
- Lectures will become visible in main navigation and can be purchased easily for viewing. You can come back to these time and again if you have to do something more pressing.
- The Noticeboard will become visible under the Resources header. On the Noticeboard you will be able to find FLBMails, Family Affairs, members notices and committee documents.
How do I log in?
Scroll to the bottom of the home page and enter your details. Your username will usually be your first name in full followed by your last name in full i.e. John Smith. If you don’t know your password you can retrieve it by following the instructions (see below).
What are my login details?
If you have login details for the old FLBA website they will not work on this one. Don’t forget – you do need to be a current member to be able to access the website.
If you have not been directly sent an email telling you about the new website and the login process this probably means we don’t have an up to date email address for you and you may need to be added to the system. This doesn’t mean you aren’t a member, just that we need an email address for you (it can’t be a “clerks@swankychambers.co.uk” address).
If you don’t receive FLBmail or if you only get it when someone else forwards it to you this is probably because the FLBA doesn’t hold a current or valid email address for you. It also means that we will probably not have given you a username for the new website. Please contact Carol Harris to let her know what email address you would like to use and she will set you up as a user.
If you receive FLBmail directly (i.e. not forwarded to you by your clerks) you can use the email address that they are sent to in order to retrieve your password.
If you aren’t sure whether a website account exists for you, or if you receive FLBmail directly but are not sure of your password, go to the log in box on the home page and follow the “lost password” instructions using the email address that you think is associated with your FLBA membership. Check both your inbox and your spam / junk folder for your password reminder.
If this doesn’t work send us an email telling us what the problem is and we will try to assist.
I need help with the videos!
In order to see and access the video area of the website you will need to be logged in using your members login details. Once you are logged in the main navigation bar across the top of the website will show “lectures” as an option. Click through to browse and identify which lectures you wish to purchase for viewing.
Once you have decided on which video you want click on the green “play now” button next to the relevant video. You will see a pop up window (sometimes this appears towards the bottom of your page) [Fig 1].
Click on the green video ticket. You will be taken to a screen like this [Fig 2], which explains that you can pay by paypal if you have a paypal account or by credit or debit card if you prefer. Click the green “continue to payment” button.
You will be redirected to paypal.
Enter your paypal details if you are paying by paypal or click in the bottom right where it says “don’t have a paypal account” if you wish to pay by debit or credit card [Fig 3]. Follow the instructions just like any other online purchase.
Follow the instructions for payment. You should be redirected to the FLBA website when the payment process is complete where you should be able to view the video straight away.
To check that your payment has been processed and to make sure you can access your video again if you need to come back to it you must now check your email.
Check the email address that is associated with your paypal account or that you gave when you went through the payment process. This might not be the same one that you use to login to the website.
You should have received two separate emails for each video purchased: one is a payment receipt, and a second contains your unique ticket number. The number will be made up of a sequence of 9 letters and numbers.
The ticket email will probably come from email account flba@straybark.com and will look something like this:
Dear B Rister,
Thank you for your order.
Please keep this email safe because it contains important information related to your PPV ticket.

Have a great time watching our videos!
If you cannot see both emails in your inbox check your spam or junk mail folder.
If you are using chambers email account it may be worth checking with whoever runs your network – sometimes emails from unknown sources get mistakenly identified as dodgy before they reach you. Double check you are looking at the right email address.
If, having checked your email accounts thoroughly, you still cannot find the emails, contact us and we will check our electronic records to see what has happened.
To play the video you have bought go to the relevant page on the FLBA website, click the green “play now” button, enter the unique number in the small pop up box that pops up [Fig 4] and click the “play now” button.
Your video can be played as often as you like for up to a year after purchase.
