Cumberland Lodge weekend : Friday 6th – Sunday 8th May 2016

You are warmly invited to the Association’s 35th Annual Weekend Conference at Cumberland Lodge.

A copy of the Programme is below and attached [NB The FINAL Programme is in the attached file], together with a Booking Formmap and the inevitable “small print” (please read!).

You will see from the booking form that this year, we have revised the cost to include a substantial reduction for those who obtained tenancy during or after 2013.

The theme of the conference is The Modern Family. This year promises to be an excellent event and the organisers have secured a panel of very distinguished speakers. CPD accreditation is being processed and we anticipate this will be in the region of 9 hours.

If you have never been to Cumberland Lodge before, let me assure you that you will find the atmosphere informal, relaxed and friendly. If you are unsure that Cumberland Lodge is for you, then do email one of the Officers and we will try to put your mind at ease. If you are coming for the first time and would like to be put in touch with a member of the committee to answer any queries you may have, do tick the box on the form and someone will get in touch with you.

Cumberland Lodge is a unique place, deep in The Great Park, Windsor, yet easily accessible by road, train and air. It is a glorious setting for a weekend conference, particularly if the sun shines.

In many years the weekend has been oversubscribed. Should that happen, allocation will be by quota and ballot rather than first come, first served (although this will not apply to the single room allocation, which will remain first come, first served). In the event that it is oversubscribed, those members who were unsuccessful in the ballot last year will be given priority. It seems only fair. Please note that your application must be received by the FLBA Administrator, Khadija Khan, (not the Secretary) by no later than 12 noon on 15th April 2016 to go into the ballot.

If we are oversubscribed and it is not possible to allocate you a room in the Lodge, or you just fancy somewhere with room service, we recommend The Runnymede-on-Thames, which is an excellent hotel with first rate facilities. In the past members of the Association have brought their families with them and have had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. For further details on the hotel and its facilities please follow this link Please make your own arrangements directly with the Runnymede-on-Thames (01784 220960).

I very much look forward to seeing you there.
